I recently heard that I have a print selected into the 153rd International Exhibition for the Royal Photographic Society and the exhibition starts on July 14th as the start of its uk and overseas tour. From several thousand entries only 125 are selected so I am rather chuffed to be presented. Selected print is 'Holly' taken last year in my own studio during one of many sessions with professional model Ivory Flame, or Holly to her friends.
"Is photography Art ?" - that old question .... and it rather depends on your own perspective. My personal view is that taking a photo is rather easy, you just point a camera at the scene and press a button. However creating an image that inspires an emotion or captures a persons personality takes a little more than reading a few magazines and getting the latest new toys. Weather or not my work comes somewhere close is only a matter of personal opinion.....I do like (most of) my work despite being my own worst critic
